Аннотация: The article considers the problem of the relationships between man and nature, ecological education and the formation of ethical behavior in relation to nature by the example of study the Siberian indigenous peoples ecological traditions. The paper defines the concept of “ecological culture”, specifies its features within the structure of ethnic groups traditional culture. The author explains why the study of Siberian natives’ ecological culture which contains a great wealth of environmental experience of generations has high potential to promote the development of harmonious relations between the society and nature and creates a strategy for their co-evolutionary interactions. This article highlighted the importance of the ethnic groups’ ecological tradition for the development of ecological consciousness of modern man and formation of ecological culture in particular.
