Аннотация: In planetary turning, with orbital planetary rotation of the tool, regular cellular relief appears on the surface of the machined part. Such surfaces prove effective in frictional pairs. The equipment and tool developed for producing regular relief has been successfully tested on aluminum alloy linings of slip bearings. In particular, a special prismatic cutter compatible with the proposed equipment is described. The kinematics of creating cellular relief is studied. Specifically, the influence of the rotary cutting speed and the supply on the quality of the relief is investigated.
