Аннотация: The structural ordering of self-organized ensembles of nematic domains (SEND) with a radial-planar configuration, which are formed on the polycarbonate surface, is considered. The domain structure is transformed into radialhomeotropic one under the influence of a thermal, elastic, electric or magnetic fields. Interference oscillations of transmitted light with a large modulation depth are observed in the absence of polarizers, when the director is reoriented in these structures, which makes it possible to evaluate them as a promising material for optical modulators. © Parshin A.M., Gunyakov V.A., Zyryanov V.Ya., Shabanov V.F., 2022
