Аннотация: The article presents the results of a survey of soil cover in the territory of gold mining in the North Yenisei region of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Podzolic soils are widespread in most of the territory, and peat, gley, and humus soils develop in areas with poor drainage. In addition, cryogenic soils with the presence of permafrost in the soil profile were identified. It is determined that under the influence of mining, the soil cover is subjected to physical, chemical and mechanical effects. As a result of this effect, the structure of the soil cover changes significantly. In areas of gold mining, the soil cover is significantly transforming and is a complex set of natural and technogenic soil types. Under the prevailing conditions of soil formation specific technogenic surface formations (abralites, lithostrats) and anthropogenically transformed types of natural soils are formed. On the territory of the residential zone, urban soils are formed - urbiquazizems and artindustrates (Technosols). The analysis of satellite data on surface temperature anomalies is carried out. It has been determined that elevated temperatures in areas with disturbances in vegetation cover persist for at least 15 years, and the excess of temperature over background values under the conditions of observed succession processes is at least 35-40% in the initial recovery period and 10% after 10-15 years of successions. The rate of restoration of temperature anomalies is determined both by external conditions and by the success and dynamics of the restoration processes of the wood canopy, soil cover and litter, which act as regulators of the thermal regime. Monitoring of the soil cover and the ratio of the areas of the background and disturbed areas on the territory of the mining enterprises can be carried out by analyzing the temperature anomalies of the surface and the state of the thermal background.
