Аннотация: On the basis of selected publications of the regional newspaper "Krasnoyarsk Worker" the authors analyze the foreign policy priorities of the Soviet Union in 1924. The most important problem of diplomatic recognition is viewed through the prism of relations with China and publications on this topic in the regional press that performs a main function in shaping public perceptions of the Soviet people in the sphere of international relations. The particular importance is given to the newspaper coverage of the issue of the Chinese Eastern Railway and the line of argument that allowed the Soviet government to raise the issue of its ownership in the agenda during the preparation of the Sino-Soviet treaty in 1924.
