Аннотация: Статья посвящена анализу методологических основ понятия «языковое сознание» и их следствий. Важнейшими гносеологическими моментами, которые должны быть приняты во внимание для непротиворечивого изучения языкового сознания, являются активный и пристрастный характер отражения мира в сознании человека. Формулируются четыре методологических принципа, лежащих в основе экспериментального изучения языкового сознания. The paper discusses the most general principles underlying the study of linguistic consciousness. Given the most common definitions and concepts of linguistic consciousness, the author shows that the study of linguistic consciousness is entirely connected with the general concept of language, which lies at its basis. The concept ofL.V. Shcherba and A.A. Zalevskaya, which allows to consider linguistic phenomena simultaneously from both social and personal positions is presented. The article substantiates the most general methodological principles of studying the language as a human property. This one, being one of the forms of the existence of consciousness, requires experimental methods and procedures for research. Consequently, language consciousness can be studied only through experiment (for example, associative one). It is shown that for effective knowledge of linguistic consciousness, the experimental techniques should take into account 4 essential points: 1) the probabilistic nature of the regularities fixed in the theory, 2) the influence of the cognition method on the final result, 3) the simultaneous influence of external and internal factors on language as the property of human refraction, 4) active and biased nature of the reflection of the world in consciousness.
