Аннотация: The effect of electromagnetic field in the process of crystallization on the kind of structure formed in alloy 1417M of the Al-Ce system is studied. The action of electromagnetic field on the morphology and dispersity of the eutectic component is determined. The size of the eutectic component is shown to be dependent on the diameter of the cast preform. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
