Аннотация: In preparing a bronze coating on steel by heat treatment of steel-copper-aluminum tri-metal it is possible to form different zones. They are an Fe-Cu-Al-solid solution and a copper layer retained in the hollow of the wavy boundary between the base and the coating. High ductility of the material, caused by retention of a copper layer and retention of the original grain size in the steel base, is provided by annealing at 850°C for 3-4 h.
