Аннотация: The paper presents the results of environmental condition assessment of lands disturbed during opencast mining at four coal deposits in the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions. The research revealed that ecologically acceptable restoration of the vegetation cover on the territory of the disturbed lands is achieved through reclamation activities and the natural self-recovery processes. © 2020 Ugol' Journal Edition, LLC.
