Аннотация: A mechanism of formation of amplitude light-induced gratings in the rigid eosin K solution in gelatin has been investigated. It is shown that spatial modulation of the absorption of the recording medium is caused by transformation of the dye into the colorless matter in the process of photosensibilized proton transfer from gelatin to the eosin.
