Аннотация: Considers the problem of preparing a human resource for the implementation of the educational process the innovative feature of which is connected with the meeting the demands of the International CDIO Initiative. The main distinguishing feature of the engineering educators who do not have pedagogical education is the initial level of their readiness for teaching, supplemented by the awareness of their pedagogical competence gaps. The goal of the teachers' training program is to ensure the consistency of the professional standards requirements with the level of competence development of the engineering educators. The implementation of this goal has been carried out in the process of solving the tasks that set the stages for developing the adaptive system of teachers' training: analytical, sociological, and design. At the analytical stage, the analysis of the teacher's professional standard and CDIO standards has been carried out to set the goal of the described system. The sociological stage consisted of carrying out an expert survey to identify the teachers' proficiency in the labor functions which are necessary for the implementation of the educational process. A questionnaire for ranking labor functions and identifying qualification gaps has been compiled. To clarify the understanding of the content, significance, and intensity in mastering labor functions a series of interviews with educational engineers and experts has also been conducted. Based on the identified qualification gaps of the educational engineers who train students of SibFU on the educational program “Metallurgy” in CDIO concept, the authors proposed the idea of training teachers through a specially designed adaptive program of SibFU and including university managers, external experts, representatives of the employers into the monitoring activities of the educational process. The results of the teachers' training program have become a project of a particular discipline, which develops a design and implement competence of the students and by means of it demonstrates the ability of a graduate to invent a new engineering product or idea, to carry out its design work, implementation and operation. © 2019 LLC Ecological Help.
