Аннотация: Spatial characteristics have been investigated of a wave guide N2 laser (N2 WL) with various resonator types and pumping schemes. High selectivity of the > resonator configuration is shown for the N2 WL. The single-mode laser operation has been implemented. Temporal characteristics have been investigated of the N2 WL with a sliding discharge pumping scheme. Two temporal lasing peaks corresponding to two stages of the sliding discharge have been discovered. The average power of the repetitively pulsed N2 laser has been measured as a function of the pulse repetition rate for capillaries of various diameters. It is shown that the use of small-diameter capillaries is effective for raising the lasing pulse repetition rate.
