Аннотация: The problem of cosmic dust captured by the Earth, which is a special case within the general problem of micrometeoroid matter accretion is considered. The interplanetary space is considered as an ensemble of "dust plasma". The possibility of a sharp change in charge and potential of a cosmic dust particle in a cloud of the suprathermal electrons is of particular importance in this investigation. This effect must be taken into account to understand the mechanism of energy flux through the cusp channel.
