Аннотация: Regularities of historical and spatial evolution of the settlements lead to a rethinking of the morphological structure of the living environment. The search the rational organization of cities in the early XX century led to change of city structure: the modernization of city quarter, the formation of theoretical concepts of urban elementary planning units, and as a result the construction of non- divisible urban elements (microdistricts). The result of planning realization of idea microdistrict to give a dissonance in the city structure gradually. The microdistricts have to rethinking of functional and social content. Nevertheless, continuity ideas about microdistricts as areas of social guaranties, as a safety residence and as a space of continue social human development is stay on this day
