Аннотация: We present a theoretical analysis of the static and dynamic characteristics of a gasostatic bearing-seal with 'opposite' internal flow compensation. Along with the primary restrictor, the bearing is equipped with a secondary damping restrictor in the form of two rows of annular diaphragms to eliminate the instability of the bearing, containing a nontraditionally large volume of compressed gas in the connecting passages. We compare the subject bearing with the traditional gasostatic bearings and show its advantage. Use of the annular damping diaphragms makes it possible to ensure the required dynamic quality. We establish the possibility of using the bearing-seal as a transformer of the external load as a function of the pressure in the inter-restrictor chambers, having quite large volume.
