Аннотация: This article examines the data of comprehensive investigations on the Krasnoyarsk reservoir in 1976-1980. Six characteristic regions located in different landscape zones and having a different anthropogenic load are distinguished on the reservoir: the upper reach (Ust'Abakan, Mokhovskoe, Krasnoturan stretches) receives the bulk of the industrial and domestic pollutants and runoff from fields; the middle reach (Novoselovo stretch) is the least polluted part of the reservoir; the lower reach (Primorskii stretch, dam region) is the deepest zone with pollution mainly from water transport. It was found that the inflow of allochthonous organic matter plays a major role in the energy balance of the Krasnoyarsk reservoir; the participation of bacterio- and zooplankton communities in mineralization of organic matter is most substantial on the Novoselovo and Primorskii stretches and of the benthos communities on the Ust'-Abakan and Novoselovo stretches.
