Аннотация: New complexed palladium oxalates Co0.5H[Pd(C2O4)(2)]. 6H(2)O (I) and Zn0.5H[Pd(C2O4)(2)] . 6H(2)O (II) were synthesized. On heating in air, the compounds decompose in several steps in the temperature range 45-350 degrees C to afford products as metallic powders of cobalt-palladium and zinc-palladium solid solutions. The crystal structures of the compounds were determined by X-ray powder diffraction. Compounds I and II are isostructural and crystallize in the monoclinic system with parameters a = 3.5445(1), b = 15.661(2), c = 11.892(2) Angstrom, beta = 96.202(2)degrees for I and a = 3.5429(1), b = 15.6485(3), c = 11.9228(2) Angstrom, beta = 96.415(2)degrees for II, space group P2(1)/c. The planar oxalate [Pd(C2O4)(2)](2-) anions are arranged in columns along the a-axis with short Pd-Pd distances (3.5445 Angstrom for I and 3.5429 Angstrom for II). The cationic part of the structure is represented by the isolated octahedral [M(H2O)(6)](2+) (M = Co in I and Zn in II) aqua complexes arranged in chains in the cavities of anionic packing with a period twice the lattice period. The chains of octahedra are randomly shifted relative to each other by the primitive translation. Such a packing of aqua complexes gives the impression that the M positions are half-filled. The charge of the metal-cationic moiety is likely to be completed by the H5O2+ ions.
