VALUE-SEMANTIC SELF-DETERMINATION IN PRE-SERVICE SOCIAL TEACHERS AS A CONDITION FOR THEIR MENTAL HEALTH

Аннотация: The purpose of this paper is to discuss possibilities of pre-service social teachers' value-semantic self-determination as a means to maintain personal health. In order to activate value-semantic self-determination in preservice social teachers, we organised training at the bachelor's level comprising the following elements: 1) informal introduction to the specialty (using gaming technologies); 2) early and distributed teaching practice in close connection with auditory and independent tasks; 3) the requirement for constant reflexive pedagogical reporting. A total of 22 students - future social teachers from four bachelor degree years of study mastering psychological and pedagogical specialties at the Siberian Federal University were asked about their future profession and why it was attractive to them. Their answers showed that students understood themselves well: their goals and values regarding the profession indicated their personal stability.
