Аннотация: The aim of this work is to explore and justify the peculiarities of students' leading a healthy lifestyle in the educational process of higher educational institutions. This study aims to reveal the main indicators of students' healthy lifestyles. The study results demonstrate the amount of time allocated by students for relevant activities associated with a healthy lifestyle. An analysis of the effectiveness of wellness activities during the training for 1-3 years at the University is presented. To enhance the effectiveness of the educational process and the quality of students' life it is necessary to consider personal features of the students as well as to organize health related measures with the help of health related physical culture means. The worked out approach allows us to achieve real positive psychic and socially important qualities of student's personality during one academic year. We showed approaches to training vitally important skills and abilities, required for adaptation to modern social and cultural medium; to the simplest techniques of organization of independent health related physical culture trainings; to means of health strengthening and formation of knowledge on health related physical culture.
