Аннотация: The paper concerns urgent problems of resources development in the Arctic shelf. A specially designed technology with the use of a coolant is suggested for winter mining at shelf deposits. The idea of the new technology stems from the concept of negative settling velocity of buoyant particles which has been investigated in laboratory tests. (C) 2010, IGM, Siberian Branch of the RAS.
