Аннотация: В статье отмечены особенности осуществления социальной политики, основные направления социальной практики в регионе, рассматриваются вопросы социальной защиты детей-сирот и детей, оставшихся без попечения родителей. The Tuva Republic - is the only region in the Siberian Federal District, where the balance of births and deaths is positive. Currently in Tuva live 111,000 children (35% of the total population of Tuva).In the Republic of Tuva the special attention is paid to questions on family policies, children's rights. Since 2014 Tuva implemented regional state program "Social protection of the family and children for 2014 - 2016". The Agency for Children and Family Affairs of the Republic of Tuva (hereinafter - the Agency) was formed to improve the activities in realization of the rights and legitimate interests of orphans and children left without parental care. It provides comprehensive assistance to the families in the 19 social centers for families and children. In the Republic of Tuva as support of institute of the family device of orphan children and children without parental support, measures for increase in grants and payments to trustees and adoptive parents are taken. The tendency of decrease in number of orphan children and children without parental support was outlined in Tuva. As a result of purposeful work of authorities, social services in the Republic of Tuva for 2011-2015 the number of orphan children, number of deprivations of the parental rights decreased, there was a reduction of number of disabled children.
