Аннотация: The paper provides arguments in favor of transforming current assessment instruments in compliance with the methodology and social demand reflected in the goal of foreign language teaching at non-linguistics universities, where the primary object to guide and assess should be flexible educational environment in progress. In that way, intercultural foreign language professional communicative competence proves to be both a tool for providing the necessary educational context and a goal to achieve by means of fostering the context produced. The research is aimed at creating for the productive assessment strategy based on several educational instruments, with a focus on Foreign Language Profile of Profession, which provides a common framework that is context-free and context-relevant at the same time. Due to such methods of research as prognostic simulation and experimental teaching-and-learning the authors collected data connected with the system of evaluating students' progress by means of productive assessment. The research results indicate the high importance of the above change of a student's status in pedagogical guidance due to the corresponding shift in assessment procedures, which now acquire a new function \ that of a learning individual's personal, social and vocational development. Therefore, pedagogical guidance as a form of collective interaction is also seen as a totally new phenomenon evolving into a learning individual's psychological function. © 2018 Asian E F L Journal Press.
